A YEAR IN THE WILD

Alaska is America’s last frontier and greatest wilderness.  Home to half the world’s glaciers, America’s highest mountains and ice sheets that stretch to the North Pole; it is rich, diverse but also hostile.  Four films, document the four seasons through the lives of Grizzly Bears, Bald Eagles, Beaver and Arctic Foxes.  Each must be resilient and adaptable if they’re to survive.

A small but dedicated team of wildlife camera people, using high speed cameras record their intimate lives.  Remote technology helps take us deep into their nests. Drones, cranes and time-lapses show the changing seasons and reveal what it takes to exist in this magnificent landscape.

Yorkshire: A Year in the Wild

A YEAR IN THE WILD

The Dales and North York Moors National Parks cover 1400 square miles of wild and rugged Northern England. Separated by only 20 miles, they create a swath of wild Yorkshire stretching virtually from the east coast to the west. Home to some of the UK’s most spectacular wildlife.

Every year the two parks attract over twenty million visitors but few get to see what is really going on. Off the beaten track, far from human gaze. Dramatic waterfalls, stunning moorland, wildflower meadows and breath-taking coastline are the back drop for a vast array of wildlife, each with their own unique survival strategy. Lock Lomond: A Year in the Wild
Only thirty minutes drive from the heart of Glasgow, lies Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, where the lowlands meet the highlands, the alpine meets the coast.  It is one of the most diverse regions in the UK and boasts some of Scotland highest peaks, deepest lochs, most expansive forests and richest meadows.  This series of four films follows the park’s wildlife through the seasons, revealing how their lives seamlessly weave together in this unique land.

This is the first British natural history series to be shot on state of the art Red cameras, giving unrivaled picture quality and the ability to shoot high speed and slow the action.   We also used macro cameras, remote operated nest cameras, and underwater housings in lochs and rivers.  Stunning aerials and dramatic time-lapses help to capture each season in its full glory.

Atlantic: A Year in the Wild

ATLANTIC:
A YEAR IN THE WILD

The Atlantic is the second largest ocean in the world. In the north-east it brings the Gulf Stream which dominates everything from the weather to the wildlife, both underwater and on shore.
Ireland, Scotland, Norway and Iceland are all lashed by the wild Atlantic. This force of nature has helped shape the land and its habitats.  Only the hardiest of creatures can survive.
Whether the Atlantic brings stormy seas or nutrient rich waters, its presence is felt; from the massive whales that feed on the tiny nutrients to the fish that feed seals, otters and eagles.
